FAMILY FUN DAY--Sponsored by Assemblyman David Weprin and Friends of Cunningham Park was held on Sunday September 19, 2010.
We enjoyed the many family friendly activities such as: Games, Face Painting, Farmers Market, Sand Art, Spin Art, Scouts, APEC and more. It was a wonderful day!
MOVIES UNDER THE STARS This year we again had a very successful series of movies. Almost 1,000 people joined us including Congressman Gary Ackerman and State Senator Toby Stavisky. We are looking forward to seeing everyone next season. Stay tuned for the schedule.
PAINTING PROJECT--On July 12, 2010 John Tochterman, Manager of the Dime Savings Bank Hillcrest Branch and his crew arrived in Cunningham Park to paint a storage container. And a short while later, the freshly painted container was a proud addition to Cunningham Park. Friends of Cunningham Park President Marc Haken said of the effort, "Without such volunteers, the various projects in the Park would never get done. They are true Friends".
